Opportunity
Glenisk invites applications for the role of Laboratory Analyst. An exciting opportunity to join a team that’s changing how Ireland produces food, one delicious pot at a time!
The successful candidate will oversee daily lab operations, quality control, hygiene audits, supplier compliance, and reporting, ensuring adherence to Glenisk’s Quality Management System.
Reporting to both the Technical & Quality Manager and the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Analyst will be based at Glenisk’s HQ in Offaly.

Responsibilities include:
- Daily testing of water, raw milk, pasteurized milk and packed liquid milk / yogurt as per the testing schedules in place.
- Weekly compiling of milk TVC & SCC trends and issue report to Management.
- Preparation of Laboratory media and managing stock of laboratory consumables.
- Manage the milk packing / yogurt packing equipment hygiene & personnel hygiene monitoring as per the swabbing schedule in place.
- Daily reading of 3-day stress test, shelf life test and record and report any non-conformances to Laboratory Manager, Technical Manager, Operations Manager and MD.
- Completion of all quality tests & records as required to maintain all records in compliance with the QMS.
- Collection, review and filing of all milk packing / yogurt plant quality records.
- Conduct daily hygiene audit on the milk packing / yogurt plant.
- Manage all Milk Suppliers in compliance with the Quality management system.
- Contribute to the QMS and provide cover for the Laboratory as required.
- Attend Quality meetings.
- Liaise with regulatory inspectors as required and complete required documentation.
- Carry out Internal Audits as per schedule.
Required Skills
Glenisk is seeking applications from persons with:
- Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in a related field
- · Strong laboratory testing and analytical skills, particularly in dairy or food testing
- · Adaptable & flexible based on daily requirements
- · Strong organisation and planning skills
- · Ability to work on own initiative
- · Superb attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
