“Protein quietly supports your whole body’s health and is an essential part of your daily nutrition. But before you reach for supplements, have a look at just how much protein you can get from natural food.” says Sarah.

how much protein do we actually need?

“Most adults need about 0.8g of protein per kilogram of body weight daily,” says Sarah.“If you’re active, that can go up to 1.0–1.2g/kg. Older adults or those in training may need even more.” That means:

A 60kg adult needs around 48–72g per day

A 75kg active adult might need 75–90g or more

That may sound like a lot — but when you go food-first, it’s easier than you think to get there.

Guaranteed Irish, celebrating 50 years since its inception, hosted its annual Business Awards on 31 March at the RDS. Glenisk was shortlisted in two categories – Food Producer of the Year and Family Business of the Year. The team was delighted to not only win both of its respective categories but also to pick up the overall award for Business of the Year. The event, sponsored by PTSB, saw more than 400 people gathered at the Concert Hall in Dublin’s RDS to celebrate Irish businesses and this important anniversary for Guaranteed Irish.

support for the GAA.

glenisk extends its partnership with Offaly LGFA!

Glenisk has announced a new, extended partnership with Offaly GAA, Offaly Camogie and Offaly LGFA in 2023. We are now the official main partner of Offaly LGFA as well as Offaly GAA and Offaly Camogie. The new partnership will see Glenisk increasing its support and funding for ladies football in the Faithful County with its distinctive logo appearing on the new ladies’ jerseys, produced by O’Neills.

Glenisk is committed to supporting the GAA across all codes, levels, ages and sexes in Offaly. The Killeigh company is also sponsor of Offaly’s Cumann na mBunscoil and Offaly Go Games!

“The community offered Glenisk unwavering support at the time of our fire in 2021 and we’re delighted to be able to give something back. It’s a privilege to help fund the teams and investment in GAA in our home county and to feed the teams with our high protein locally-produced yogurt,” said Managing Director, Vincent Cleary.

Although Glenisk is sold across Ireland and indeed as far away as Asia, the business values its strong roots to the community where the family farm began generations ago.
